I will miss old good level. 3.0 is awful. However I found PocketGuard which looks and feels pretty much like old level. So if you dont like mint its a way to go.

I look for *.ipa file. If you downloaded @LevelMoney app to your iTunes on your Mac before April 21, you might have a backup copy of LevelMoney2.5.3.ipa and you can still install it. In order to continue using older version uninstall 3.0 before installing the LevelMoney2.5.3.ipa a backup copy. If you have it, please tweet me @sweetw0r
The only update needed is to decrease the time it takes for new transactions to appear. The UI was perfect since 1.0. Please stop changing it!
I agree with the rest of the reviewers on the April release that changes the entire UI and functionality. I thought it was a great app and was actually benefiting from it. But someone decided to completely change how calculating your spendable income is done. Its like they did no user testing at all and someone updated functionality with only their wants in mind. Seriously, this is product management 101. Im about to delete it.
I used to use Level Money multiple times a day to check my familys spending and see if we are on budget, but after the latest update, its nearly useless to me. The most bizarre new "feature" in this release allows you to adjust your spendable if you go over the designated amount. I have no idea whether adjusting my spendable is "safe" or not. Am I going to have a net loss for the month??? There is absolutely no indication telling you whether you are spending more than youre making, nor does it tell you how much money you are saving that month. I really depended on Level calculating my spendable for me ever month. I dont want nor need the ability to adjust it manually. I liked how it automatically adjusted when I got a refund or made an additional deposit. Now its just about impossible to tell how well Im doing financially. Im very disappointed and wish theyd revert back to the older version.
Ive been using this app for about 2 years so its a shame I have to write this and then likely delete it, but the most recent update is awful. This used to be a budgeting app, and despite small bugs here and there it was very useful. But the most recent update eliminates virtually all budgeting capability. The "plan" option used to graph your income, bills (with amounts for each), savings and spendable. Thats totally gone. Now you cant set a budgeted amount for each bill, there is no distinct savings feature, and a big picture look at your monthly plan is non-existsnt. All you can really do is track daily spending and compare to last months daily spending, which I can do with my bank with a better interface. Whats left is an app with no real point. I hope to get an email that they restore the previous version but for now, bye Level.
This is one of the few apps I have regularly recommended to my friends. Now Im embarrassed. Ive been using Level for well over a year and have come to depend on it. This update broke everything and doesnt make any sense anymore. When setting your bills and spendable its not longer a percentage of your income so I can set it to be way higher than it should be. And I cant even see the total of my bills, so how in the world am I supposed to set it correctly?? The pie chart before was perfect. Literally no reason to change it. Used to show which bills had been seen yet and which hadnt. Now thats gone? I dont have any control over my income settings at all. Used to be able to specify the frequency and amount but now Level is trying to be smart and guess. In my case, I am salaried and just got a raise, but theres no way to change that in level to plan for the future months. Im sad to see such a good app get completely ruined. Im at the police not where Im considering writing my own system for myself based on the old level. I honestly just wish they could release the old one again. It had its issues but at least it was usable.
