Keeps getting worse and worse

Just when you thought the app could not get any worse, it does. App kept crashing after trying not to count a transaction. Then it logged out on its own and now All my accounts have disappeared.

Rough update

So thankful for this free product. But I must agree the new update is borderline unusable, from overall sluggishness to the removal of key features (like rollover) that made this one of my favorite apps.

Deleted account after update

Its that bad. Was a power user. Now the app is simply non-functional despite hours of attempting to fix my account.

Disappointed But Hoping For Change

Im usually one who loves dramatic updates to apps, but since the latest update, Ive been left confused and disappointed. I really loved this app and it helped put me back on track financially. Yet, with the new update Level lost a lot of the core functionality that I loved most. I will start looking for other finance apps to use. Im very sad that I have to do that. It seems getting acquired does change things

I have no words

I used to be a Level evangelist. With this update I am completely dumbfounded. Clearly Capital One brought in a new project lead who didnt understand what made the Level app special. It wasnt just another Mint. The beauty was in the simplicity: income-bills-savings=spendable. Daily/weekly/monthly all viewable in one screen. Transactions listed simply. Swipe to tag or mark as dont count. Yes, the app was never perfect - if you tagged things while pending they disappeared, sometimes credits were double counted, sometimes it needed a few tries before a tag or edit would take. But overall, it was a really good app. Now the transactions page is unreadable, the Insights graphs make no sense, edits dont stick at all, the math is just wrong, and the app crashes constantly. In short, this app has gone from near gold, to absolute garbage.

Horrible update

This update is terrible. Every time I open the app it shows a different spendable amount. It also doesnt ask for my password any more and it is extremely glitchy. Its listing expenses twice and takes longer to show my spending. Not helpful at all, Ill be deleting unless a new update comes out very soon.

Update is bad - deleting this app

The new update became unorganized comoare to kast version. overall look of balance disappeared. the app was way better on last desugn version. very very didappointing

Been Using for Months & I Did Love It

Before the latest update I loved Level Money. It is still probably the most promising budgeting apps I know of, but not near as beautiful or intuitive as it once was. Before the update, even the login screen was a joy to use. Not anymore. The transaction feed now feels cluttered and hard to read, I can no longer swipe right to edit trackers, the new charts are not informative. The old spending chart was very useful and showed the rate of my spending as compared to the prior month. I miss that Insight tab. I still like Level Money but no longer enough to recommend it. The only thing I would have changed about Level Money before, was it would have been nice to know how much I had to spend between now and my next paycheck, and not just the month as a whole. But that was a small thing and could have been achieved by repurposing One of the three bubbles. One more complaint: I have already mentioned that the app is now kind of confusing, and I blame party of that on the new color scheme as well as the cluttered transaction feed. I still like, use , and believe in this app but I hope it goes back to some of the things that made it great.

Update Killed This App

Was my only finance app and now, since the update, its garbage. Doesnt remember my last 6 months of info, doesnt show weekly spendable, the redesign is incredibly confusing. Cant figure out how to set what my expected bills are -- Im infuriated. This was the best and I recommended this to so many people and now Im out.

This is horrible!

I dont mind the new design, but if the app would actually work that would be great. Every time I open the app, it freezes and becomes unusable after checking my trackers or trying to update the types of transactions. Actually, doing anything in the app for more than three seconds makes it freeze! It also keeps resetting my spendable to something ridiculous, which doesnt help at all when it comes to budgeting and managing money. Please fix this! I used to really like checking my balances and spending but now I cant stand it.

Tire fire

The old version was really buggy and frustrating. Like it barely worked. But I love the concept and havent found an alternative. Version 3 is somehow worse. It crashes all the time and sometimes shows duplicate transactions. And it reset my budget and the new interface is really confusing. It doesnt show me what % of my income Im saving anymore. Its confusing that bills are part of the spendable when calculating our budget. With the new version I feel like I dont have a budget anymore. This app used to be essential for me but now it feels worthless. Anyone know a good app like this that actually works?

Adding to the chorus of voices

Used to be a five star app before the update. As others have already mentioned, it is now extremely unreliable. I could almost get used to the new interface but the bugs this app suffers from are deal breaker, especially with regard to the trackers, income, and bills workflows.

Great app

I love this app. I was able to get great customer service (shout out to Rachel) when things went south. However, like everyone else, this later update is a huge set back. I love the aesthetic but the inability has isnt what it was. Hopefully theyll update it because its not working out.

Not a great update

Yes, the app needed a redesign, but the basic functionality was good. In this update, things just do not work. I cant set a credit to "dont count". My previous months show radically different spending than they did before (did it erase all my "dont count" categorizations or something?). I dont see weekly spending numbers anymore (lets face it, daily spending goal is useless because it varies so much day to day). Theres no easy way to see my income & bills total for a month, which fluctuates. I cant see how much credit Ive gotten this month. Seems a bit of a step back. Oh, its also completely buggy and crashes constantly.

Used to be awesome...

This app used to be the single simplest and best way to budget and save. The latest update makes everything that was user friendly about this app clunky and extremely difficult to use...Not to mention really buggy!! Do not download. Level, please revert to the old design!!

What on earth did you guys do?

This app is very confusing now. Revert to the old app.

What a disappointment

What happened? Ive been waiting months for a new version that I hoped would correct some ongoing issues with Level (marking pending transactions as Dont Count and they disappear). What I got was an app riddled with bugs. It crashes all the time. What happened to the weekly spendable?? I imagine most people have fluctuations in daily spending that might exceed the max daily spendable, and the weekly allowed you to keep yourself in check and on track. The Spending graph blows my mind. I cant even see month-to-date data in it. It shows last months data, and once removed I dont see any current April data. How did this make it past QA? For the confused folks here - there is a FAQ in the app that you MUST read to get a grasp on how differently this version functions. Credits can no longer be marked as Dont Count as nothing affects spendable besides those transactions marked as General. Theres no more "saving" thats calculated in the app based on income and bills. You only add them in to automatically categorize these transactions as they appear. The beautifully simple process of "Whats your income and bills, and how much do you want to save? Got it - heres what you can spend" is gone. The only positives, from my perspective, is the app is more visually pleasing and I like that its simpler in that nothing affects Spendable except purchases. This removes the need to mark Credits as Dont Count.

Used to be so good

Longtime level user here. Used to be a great simple app. Now its trying to be all things to all people and its just messy and buggy. 2 bugs since I updated, one duplicating all my transactions and the other crashing the app every time I try to load it. Rollback to last version and figure it out before unleashing it to us please

Basic Functionality Broken

I used to love this app despite its occasional bugs. Now its painfully broken. Overestimating amount spent for the month by thousands, the trends screen buttons arent even linked to the right graph segment (click previous month and projection section will disappear), among other issues.

Please fire your VP of Product

I used this app almost daily until the new update came out. Completely unusable now. Whoever came in to run product should be both ashamed of themselves and looking for a new job.
