Level Money: Spend Confidently and Achieve Balance App Reviews

What was an amazing, beautiful app is now complicated and riddled with bugs, making it just about useless. Used to use this every day. Now afraid Ill have to get rid of it

I LOVED the old version of Level. The prior format was easy to use, intuitive, and informative. I successfully used Level to keep our household in budget for months and actually enjoyed it! I am SO disappointed with the new update. Its buggy, crashes, is waaaaaayyyyy too busy to be simple and not intuitive. My favorite feature was the ability to see how much we had left by day/week/month on the home page which has now been replaced by this weird budget predictor. Level is now my most frustrating and least favorite app, so Ill be looking for another budgeting tool.

This update removes everything good about the app. Its unorganized and ugly. The previous version was great; the update is no doubt a giant step backwards.

The update took away everything that made the app worth using and added a new instant crash feature. After using it for months pre-update I had to delete it. Its unusable in its current form. One swipe transaction tagging is gone, replaced by a cumbersome menu. Not sure what they were thinking.

Saved me $53/month in vampire subscriptions. Level Money organized my transactions simply so I could identify which subscriptions I wanted and which I didnt.

I loved this till the updated to 3.0. Now All I can see is a grey screen on logon. I havent received a response to my queries yet so not clear what the resolution is. I hope they fix it cause I used to like this app.

I held off on reviewing this app for a few days after the update. I thought I would give it a chance, after all change isn’t always bad. I thought I must be missing something. Unfortunately, after living with the updated app for a few days, I still think it is a horrible experience. Apparently this update was supposed to simplify things, yet it somehow seems like this app is now more complex with less features. There are several very poor UX decisions and an overall lack of basic features that previously existed. Not only is the design a major step back, I have experienced several technical issues such as crashes, double transactions, and my old settings being messed up during the update process. Please seek some outside UX design help. This app is a great concept but being executed very poorly.

This isnt going to be a long review because everyone else has the same complaints as I do. Level used to be my favorite and most used app. This update broke everything that made it great. It was simple and displayed exactly the information I wanted to see. This update has made it so hard to follow. I need to delete it from my phone now because its still a habit to open it twice a day. Hope they can fix it.

Loved this app before update. New update looks promising but I cant use the app for 2 minutes without it crashing. Also very slow loading the app. Hopefully they can fix these bugs asap.

Just reiterating what everyone else has said about the most recent update. I used to rave about the level app to people now I just feel lost in this new app and have to look for a new alternative that helps me do what this app used to do. Which was simply tell me how much money I have left and allowed the flexibility to set my spendable as well as categorize transactions with one swipe as opposed to this new newsfeed that has been constantly crashing on me. Never should have updated the app it was nearly perfect as it was.

Ive been using the app for a few months. Its been a great way for me to see how much I am spending and on what. The trackers helped me realize I was spending way too much on eating out and not enough on groceries. Now, Im spending less each month on food and saving more. Great app

I was excited for the latest update. However, my transactions stopped updating and now the app is completely useless to me

Seems like the changes made were positive improvements. I think the new layout is way more efficient and is easier to make sense of.

The latest update made this app unusable. Removed so many features that made this app life changing for me. Now I cant even set my spendable until the first of the month. Please revert to the old version until you fix this.

I am used level money for a long time , but the last updates is awful. Found PocketGuard now and feeling better then old good level money , with great support.

I’ve used Level Money for a while. Sad to see this app being totally broken. I downloaded PocketGuard now and love it so far. It does what the old Level did and does it even better. Farewell, Level!

I loved the simple set up of Level before they completely trashed the interface on the new update. It also quits every time Im in it and is duplicating purchase transactions for some reason that I cannot even delete. Poor update all around

Really loved the idea of this app but i spent a hefty amount of time setting up all my bills, income, trackers for spending, and all for nothing cause as soon as i updated the amount i could spend monthly, everything erased. The amount u can spend daily changed if u refresh the app. Also a lot of transactions show up as duplicates in the app. Deleting.

This update sure is a visual departure from the last... Im trying to figure it out, but the app continually crashes so I havent made any headway.
